This was definitely one of my most favourite shoots to date. Partially because it was Alexandra Moore shooting; I find her such a natural photographer to work with, and we are almost always shooting in nature which we are both very connected to. Alexandra and I have shot a handful of times but this time was extra special. I asked her to do a couples photoshoot with me and my boyfriend Julian. It started off very casual, very much like the type of couple engagement photoshoots that she is booked for often. Shots like these: all very cute, light and candid.
Then we changed up the pace after the sun had set. We used the city lights as well as the lights from Julian's jeep. We changed outfits and suddenly the shoot had a whole new feel to it. It was slick, sexy and street.
Did a really fun yet challenging shoot with a well known Toronto based Black and white photographer. Silvio Calcagno. However we shot in colour. The theme for this shoot was based on my side job as a go-go dancer. We shot three separate looks and today I'm adding them to my portfolio.
The first look was Show Girl inspired.
The second look was Army Girl inspired
And the third had a School Librarian type of feel.
All of these outfits and looks I have worn while go-go dancing. So it was quite the treat to get great shots out of them.
I was really proud to represent my city through this up and coming local line. I RUN T.O. let's me express the part of me that was raised by this city, and that made me the individual that I am today. I've lived in nearly every corner of it and have had countless adventures. I know it inside and out. No matter all the places I go in life I will always call this city home.
So after an incredible weekend in New York City a couple weeks back, I started to realize that the world could be at my fingertips if I wanted it to be. New York opened my eyes to having a good time in a new place, and now I've got that contagious little travel bug.
So after returning home for no more than a couple days, I made huge plans with a friend of mine that I met while I was away in Israel earlier in the year, and he told me that he would be happy to host my stay in Los Angeles. Then within a week I was off to the City of Angels.
This trip was just as spontaneous and adventurous as the trips that came before. If only I could have made it worth while and get some great shoots in while I was there, but alas it still managed to be a fantastic vacation. I did a lot of relaxing, exploring, drinking and partying. It was full of great fun times and precious memories. I didn't do all that I wanted to do which will make it even more important to come back.
But 1 rule I have, is that I must have a license...
There is lots to see in the world and I really hope I can get around to it all.
Now that I'm back, I celebrated my 22nd birthday, got back into working. The fall breeze is already in the air and before it gets too cold to not fly down to the equator I think I'm managing to plan 1 final trip to NYC again at the end of October. Let's hope I can be more business less tourist this time.
Oh, life is so much more interesting when you are adventuring. I hope you caught my little travel bug and go book a ticket somewhere. It's worth it, trust me!
I am so excited to let everyone know that after 6 years I am being reunited with my favourite place. NEW YORK CITY! I am going back on the 29th of August and staying until the 2nd of September for the long weekend.

Thank you everyone. And see you soon NYC!
Had the pleasure to work with one of my favourite photographers, and now a good friend of mine Alexandra Moore. Her work is featured a lot through my portfolio and now she has added another element. Video. Last time she shot with me we not only got a ton of great images... but we created this:
Here are some of the images as well.
If you want to contact of see more of her work please follow this link to her website and take a look! Alexandra is a genius.
Local clothing and jewelry designer Julianna Haveman's line Ocean Avenue is filled with fun, bright colours as well as being environmentally friendly and handmade by Jules as she calls herself. I got to work with this designer for the first time this July, and she wrote a post on the whole experience being the first model to shoot in her clothes.
Then a few months and a couple more models later we shot for her upcoming look book and these are some of the great images that Darryl Pascoe captured.
No matter what day of the week it is, I always have something to say. So I'm here to let you hear it.
